Marmomacc, International Exhibition of Marble, Design & Technology. September 2018
The theme for the 2018 edition was Water & Stone. This year also sees the debut of an initiative dedicated to artists to enhance dialogue between water and stone materials in hospitality and well-being contexts.
In addition to a complete exhibition ranging from stone marble to rough stone, stone design works, machinery and accessories, Marmomacc offered a rich program of conferences and training courses for professionals.

There were 1636 exhibitors from 56 countries out of which over 60% were international exhibitors. The fair was spread over 81271 sq.m. in area which is slightly bigger than the last time.
We have been notified that there were more than 67928 visitors from 146 countries out of which over 60% are the international visitors which is an incredible increment over the last three years.
Marmomac reflects an increasingly global sector, as witnessed by the internationality of attendance by exhibition and operators alike. Natural stone, and the technology and machinery industry associated with it, is synonymous with quality and Italy is the acknowledged leader in this context. This aspect sees Italy rank second in the world in natural stone sales with a balance of trade in the black by 2.8 billion euros, including technologies where Italy is the undisputed leader. Marmomac confirms its strong bond with local area. This show in particular and Veronafiere in general ensure socio-economic benefits that every year generate impressive financial figures - estimated at more than 1 billion euro of which 150 million generated by Marmomac - as well as promoting the image of the city, the province of Verona and its entrepreneurial activities.

The trade fair is the most important global event dedicated to marble, granite, processing technologies, applied design and training.
Business opportunities liked with natural stone are as ever at the heart of the trade show through product categories that have been redefined this year to make them more stringent and rational: marble; natural stone; granite; agglomerates and conglomerates; marble blocks; unhewn stone and large formats; processing machinery and equipment; means of transport and lifting/hoisting; abrasives; diamonds; chemicals; services.

Within the scope of planned initiatives, collaboration between Marmomac, ICE-Italian Trade Agency and Confindustria Marmomacchine for incoming activities targeting international operators continues for 2018: 300 top buyers will be selected, invited and hosted in Verona to attend b2b meetings, technical training sessions and visits to local companies.

Other fundamental aspects for developing trade during the show are innovation, design and training related to stone and its use. This concept is represented at Marmomac by the exhibitions highlighted in The Italian Stone Theatre. This pavilion brings together Italian research, experimentation, marble and technologies.

Another news for 2018 is the show where big brands from design and furniture – such as Baxter, Swarovski, Luxury Living Group – work on specific projects with marble companies.
