Here comes the sun: lamps to take you through your day

Here comes the sun! What's your favorite time of the day? Sunrise, full day or night time, it doesn't matter -- we have the perfect suggestion for you.

We wondered, wouldn’t it be amazing to have lamps that could reflect the three key phases of the sun? So we came up with a set of ceiling lamps that will lead you through your day, moment by moment: sunrise, full day and sunset. Of course, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll have all all of them in the same room, so go ahead and pick your favorite!

Sunrise

We find this lamp deeply representative of the magic moment of sunrise: a dark globe seems to be slowly cracking and opening up, revealing a golden light shining from within. We love the idea of night as a black, velvety envelope that cyclically absorbs and lets go the light of the sun. In reality though, there is also another reason why this lamp represents the exact moment of sunrise. Have you noticed? It’s like a 3D rendition of what we see when we start opening our eyes in the sun: a blade of blazing light shining through between the dark profiles of our lids.

Middle of the day

During the day, the sun shines bright; in general, we tend to feel happier and more cheerful whenever the sun is shining, which is why we need a lamp that reflects this general light-heartedness. We came up with a couple of different options. A clean, straightforward design that sheds a clear light is perfectly representative of those lucky days when the sun shines bright and there’s no cloud in sight.

But what about those winter days when the sun is hidden behind a thick layer of clouds and light has that typically wintery-white quality? A creative ceiling lamp that reflects that atmosphere is the one pictured below: composed by countless white and roundish leaves, doesn’t it remind you of those magical days when each tree is covered in snow?

Sunset

If you’re more of a night owl, every day you must be looking forward to seeing the sun set. Sunsets are not only a moment of spellbinding plays of light, but also the beginning of the time of the day you can finally dedicate to yourself and your hobbies. A great lamp to take you from sunset to night time is this one: the warm, bronze color of the frame reflects and shines with still bright, but soft and diffused light.

One last detail: the extremely elaborate frame makes it a perfect ceiling lamp for a room with a mezzanine. Why? The light will illuminate the ground floor, while the frame will work as a décor piece that you’ll be able to see from the mezzanine.
